結果的にAR18が大量採用されることはなかったのだが、その設計思想や構造は優れた点が多く、後の小銃開発に大きな影響を与えることとなった。G36(ドイツ)、F2000(ベルギー)、ACR(アメリカ)など、影響を受けた銃は枚挙に暇がないが、特に日本の89式やイギリスのL85など、AR18のライセンス生産を経験した国々の銃にはその色が濃く出ている。
数が少ないにも関わらず、銃器史に欠かすことが出来ない存在…AR18はまさに隠れた名作である。
本キットは、形状再現は勿論、選択部品を豊富に用意。ストックの開閉は選択式、ダストカバーの開閉も選択、専用弾倉は20、30、40連の3タイプ。専用スコープ かドットサイトも選択可能。
