About proxy service for overseas
The 103 series was a DC commuter train that debuted in 1963 (Showa 38) during the Japanese National Railways (JNR) era. It began commercial operation on the Sobu Line in 1979, providing through service from Chiba Station to Ochanomizu Station and then to Mitaka Station on the Chuo Line, playing a major role in commuter transport connecting the east and west of the Tokyo metropolitan area. However, it ceased commercial operation in March 2001.
