AZ-14 Liger Zero Iks Concept Sketch
To match the design of Tomy's original Liger Zero Iks with the new proportions perfected in the AZ-02 Liger Zero, development began with adjusting the volume of each armor part. In order to reproduce various gimmicks, not interfere with the AZ Liger Zero's power mechanism, and make the most of Iks's characteristics, concept sketches were created after numerous revisions.
In the final product, additional detail designs have been added to achieve an even more dense and detailed appearance.
The Iks Unit, including the deployable high-electromagnetic sword "Stun Blade" mounted on the back, the "Drum Condenser" for storing electricity, and the "Static Generator" for generating electricity, has been redesigned and newly sculpted.
Furthermore, to enhance the sense of life, LEDs are installed in the cockpit and ZOIDS core (power unit). Through full-body movement and lighting effects, the realism of a metallic lifeform is expressed.
-
The head (eyes) lights up with LEDs.
-
The ZOIDS core hidden in the chest glows.
-
The stun blade moves up and down in conjunction with the movement of the waist.
Various parts, including the head's Carter fairing and cockpit hatch, as well as the stun blade on the back and shoulder covers, are movable. The inclusion of numerous movable parts creates a mechanical spectacle.
-
The cockpit hatch opens and closes (head). The included 1/72 scale general soldier pilot figure can be seated inside.
-
The head's Carter Fairing is movable.
-
The drum condenser on the waist rotates.
-
The stun blade on the back is movable.
-
The shoulder covers are movable. The fins hidden inside are also movable, allowing the Electron Driver firing mode to be recreated.
