◆実車ガイド
●キハ40-1700形は極寒地向け車両である100番代をワンマン化した形式である700番代に対してさらに延命対策を施した車両です
●2019年にキハ４０-1700形2両が「山紫水明」シリーズ車両として改造されました
●「山紫水明」シリーズは観光列車やイベント列車としても活躍できるよう、外装の変更だけではなく内装の木目調への変更や脱着式テーブルの設置、シマエナガのイラストの施されたロールカーテンへの交換が行われました

●ハイグレード(HG)仕様
●「山明」号になったキハ40-1790形と「紫水」号になったキハ40-1791形を再現
●キハ40-1791形は前面のタイフォンが撤去された姿を再現
●キハ40-1791形の屋根上のホイッスルは別パーツ付属
●ヘッド・テールライト、前面表示部は常点灯基板装備、ON-OFFスイッチ付
●ヘッド・テールライト、前面表示部は白色LEDによる点灯
●ヘッドライトはカラープリズムの採用により電球色に近い色で点灯
●前面表示部は交換式で印刷済みパーツ「ワンマン」を装着済み
●前面表示部は交換用「団体」「臨時」印刷済み別パーツを付属
