This train set, inspired by the "Nostalgic Ban'etsu Passenger Train Set" released in 1995, is being re-released with a design that mimics the original cardboard box!

"This is the highlight"

POINT 1: We have newly manufactured a model of locomotive No. 745, which had an additional headlight added to its bonnet during its time at the Goryokaku locomotive depot!
POINT 2: TN couplers are installed on both the front and rear.
POINT 3: All Oha 50 and Ohafu 50 cars are equipped with TN couplers, jumper plugs, and step parts.

Vehicle Guide
●Passenger trains that used to run on the Ban'etsu West Line between Aizu-Wakamatsu and Niitsu were pulled by DD51 locomotives. While these were usually locomotives from JR Freight's Higashi-Niigata Depot, there were also cases where DD51-745, belonging to JR East's Nagaoka Depot, was used.
●DD51-745 was unique in that it had an additional headlight installed while it was based at the Goryokaku locomotive depot, and it maintained its three-headlight style until the very end, even after being moved to Honshu.

●This set, featuring the DD51-745 locomotive and four 50-series passenger cars, is inspired by the "Nostalgic Ban'etsu Passenger Train Set" released in 1995, and the packaging is designed to resemble the original cardboard box.
●Includes stickers that resemble the destination signs displayed on the sides of the 50 series passenger cars.
● All vehicles are equipped with TN couplers.

● High-grade (HG) specifications

●H-shaped rubber is reproduced in gray.
●The appearance with additional headlights on the top of the hood has been reproduced with newly manufactured parts.
● The handrail on the front deck replicates the shape of a straight line in the center.
●The license plate is a separate part included: "DD51-745"
● The headlights are equipped with a constant-on circuit board and an ON/OFF switch.
●Whistle and train radio antenna are included as separate parts.
● Dummy couplers and Arnold couplers included
●Includes ATS on-board equipment parts.

●Black bogie frame and black wheels are used.
● Features a flywheel-equipped motor and uses an M-13 motor.

[About the 50 Series Passenger Cars]
●Pre-printed with JR mark, ownership marking "Shin-Kanu", and car numbers "Ohafu 50-2311, 2314, Oha 50-2205, 2208".
●The canvas frame and gangway are reproduced in red.
●The door sills and side door rails are pre-printed.
● The taillights on both sides of the Ohafu 50-2311 and 2314 illuminate and have an ON/OFF switch.
● All vehicles are equipped with jumper plug parts on both the front and rear.
