高松琴平電気鉄道(通称：ことでん)は高松市の中心地・瓦町を中心に3つの路線を有する鉄道会社です。
1070形は、京浜急行電鉄600形を改造した車両で、1984年から1987年にかけて、同社初の冷房車として3編成が導入されました。
現在は、主にラッシュ時の増結用として、2編成が琴平線で活躍しています。
本製品では、2025年8月に全般検査が実施され、導入当時の「ファンタンゴレッド」と「オパールホワイト」の塗装に復刻された1071-1072号を再現いたします。
動力ユニットはTM-06R(18ｍ級A)、走行用パーツセットはTT-04R、パンタグラフはPG16＜0238＞を推奨しています。
