The second generation of the Stout, a bonnet-type truck based on Toyota's first small commercial vehicle, the SB Model, appeared in 1960.
It was large for a domestically produced pickup truck, and its tough structure with a frame structure and rigid leaf springs on both the front and rear led to it being widely used as the base for special purpose vehicles such as tow trucks.
The TLV model reproduces the final model (RK101 type) which underwent a minor change in 1967 and featured a modern front grille.
Stout's tow truck is always popular, and this time it will appear in the coloring of a vehicle that was used by the Japan Automobile Federation (JAF).
The catchphrase on the side also adds to the nostalgic atmosphere.
A dolly (cart) for towing is included, so you can combine it with your own TLV passenger car (some models are not compatible) to recreate a towing scene.
