The second-generation Toyopet Crown, which appeared in 1962, was available in light van and wagon body styles, with the van registered as a commercial vehicle being called the Masterline and the wagon being treated as a passenger car being called the Crown Custom, and the car's name was also differentiated accordingly.
A major change was made in 1965 when the front was extended to accommodate a six-cylinder engine.
The exterior underwent a minor change the following autumn, and the Masterline name was discontinued with the change of generation in 1967.
This time, TLV will be producing the final model 1967 Crown Custom and the 1966 Masterline with JAF specifications.
Based on the second-generation Crown, the body has an extended rear overhang to accommodate the luggage compartment, giving it a stylish look, and the long, thin roof is also attractive.
This time, two models will be available: the final model, the 1967 Crown Custom, and the 1966 Masterline, which was used as a road service car by the Japan Automobile Federation (JAF) at the time.
The early model S40 Crown sedan on which it was based was one of the earliest TLV products (LV-03, released in January 2004). This car allows you to reflect on the changes in TLV and miniature cars over the past 20 years.
