The JNR Kiha 08 series is a diesel railcar that was converted from the Oha 62 series in 1960. It was originally called the Kiha 40 series (first generation), but was renamed the Kiha 08 series in 1966.
In addition to the Kiha 08 type with a double driver's cab, a total of 14 cars were born in the same series, including the Kiha 45 type with a single driver's cab (later the Kiha 09 type), and the Kikuha 45 and Kisaha 45 types, which were used as control cars and trailer cars.
This product is a set of two cars, Kiha 08 2 and Kiha 08 3, both of which have dual driver's cabs and were mainly used in Hokkaido.
Enjoy the nostalgic Hokkaido diesel railcar trains by lining them up with OMIX's Kiha 22, Kiha 01, and Kiha 03 types.
We recommend the TM-16 (20.5m class A) power unit and the TT-03R running parts set.
