背の高いスタイルとひょうきんなCMで一世を風靡した初代ホンダ・シティ。
1981年の登場以来、ターボ、ターボIIなど話題を呼ぶバリエーションを毎年追加しましたが、1984年に登場したのがオープンボディのカブリオレです。
世界的なオープンカー復活の流れに乗り、国産オープンモデルとしては14年ぶりに登場。
安全性を重視してBピラー付近がロールバーとして残る型式とし、あえてターボIIのワイドフェンダーボディをベースとしたルックスのコミカルさ、「太陽 標準装備」「脱いで、パラダイス」といったCMコピーなど、楽しい話題を周囲に振りまく当時のホンダらしい一台でした。
TLV-NEOシリーズでは2022年4月に登場し、好評をいただいたシティカブリオレに新仕様が登場。
実車同様、ピラー付近に残るロールバーや、全開状態のサイドウィンドウの表現にもご注目ください。
日本車では珍しい4人乗りオープンのオープンボディで、よく見える内装も極力再現。
実車のボディカラーは12色が用意されましたが、今回は温かみのあるオレンジと深みのあるブルーで、サイドのCABRIOLETデカールも印刷で再現しています。
