Small tank containers, which were widely used during the Japanese National Railways era, have reappeared in blue paint.
"This is the highlight"POINT: The small tank container UT1 type is reproduced based on the shape of the <3132> T10 container, with blue paint applied. *Due to mold limitations, some parts of the shape differ from the actual product.
◆Vehicle Guide
The UT1 type is a 10- and 12-foot privately owned tank container that appeared during the Japanese National Railways era, and various forms exist depending on the owner and intended use.
Since the privatization of Japanese National Railways (JNR), many of these tank cars have been retired due to replacement with larger containers, but some are still in service today after undergoing tank body renovations and other modifications.
JOT's UT1 type containers came in various shapes and paint schemes to suit different purposes, but in recent years, they have been increasingly replaced by ISO standard tank containers and other types.
