◆ Actual vehicle guide
The 227 series 0 is a new type of vehicle developed for the Hiroshima area, and is a direct current electric train operated by JR West that began operation in 2015.
The nickname "Red Wing" comes from the fact that the fall prevention hood at the front of the bus resembles an outstretched wing, and the bus's wing-like role in supporting public transport.
・Mainly operates on the Sanyo Line, Kure Line, and Kabe Line in the Hiroshima area
Currently, there are 63 three-car trains and 42 two-car trains in operation, playing an important role in the Hiroshima City Network.
