Taking on the challenge of passing Ikoma with a maximum gradient of 35.7‰! The long-awaited 4-car Kintetsu 8000 series, an early model with its distinctive electric fan, has arrived!

The Kintetsu 8000 series is a vehicle introduced in 1964 for the Nara and Kyoto lines.
The earliest vehicles were equipped with electric fans, and roof-mounted ventilators were a distinctive external feature.
There were two-car formations and later four-car formations with an additional intermediate car, and these were in service on the line until 2002.
Currently, the 8000 series is in operation as vehicles that have been converted into other models and later models.
This time, we will be producing a four-car train that has been repainted after being air-conditioned, with an ivory base and maroon around the windows and bottom stripes, as well as a two-car train and a two-car train with transitional paint that is characterized by different paint jobs on the front.

We recommend the TM-14 (20m class A2) power unit, TT-04R running parts set, and PG16<0238> pantograph.
