JR Bus Tohoku is a JR East Group company headquartered in Sendai, Miyagi Prefecture.
We have branches in Aomori, Iwate, Miyagi, Yamagata, and Fukushima prefectures, covering a wide area of the Tohoku region.
The Yamagata Shinkansen Tsubasa E8 series painted cars will begin operating on April 13, 2024, mainly on the Abukuma express bus service that runs between Busta Shinjuku, Koriyama Station, and the east exit of Fukushima Station.
When service began in April 2024, only vehicle H654-23401 was in operation, but the following week on April 20th, vehicle H654-23402 was introduced, and now there are two vehicles in operation.
The license plates are a reference to the Yamagata Shinkansen E8 series vehicles, with car 1 being Fukushima 230-8 and car 2 being Fukushima 230-u 283.
This product is modeled after car H654-23402, which debuted on April 20th.
