The nostalgic 6000 series is now available in the Tetsuro Collection
Nankai Electric Railway is a railway company that runs from Namba in Osaka to Wakayama, Koyasan, and Kansai International Airport.
Founded in December 1885, it is the oldest private railway in Japan.
The 6000 series is a train with 72 cars manufactured between 1962 and 1969 with the aim of increasing the transport capacity of the Nankai Koya Line.
This series is the first Nankai Electric Railway train to feature an all-stainless steel body.
Since then, the trains have been modified with air conditioning, had their bogies replaced, and some of their bodies updated, and as of 2024, they are still in service, although their numbers have decreased.
In September 2023, six cars, including the 6001 train, will be restored to their original appearance as "nostalgic unpainted stainless steel cars" and put into service, reminiscent of the unpainted era.
We recommend the TM-08R (20m class A) power unit, TT-04R running parts set, and PT4811N <0258> pantograph.
