元は北海道拓殖鉄道として新得～鹿追間で鉄道を運行していましたが、1968年に鉄道事業を廃止し、バス事業者となりました。
音更、上士幌、鹿追、新得、千歳に各営業所があります。
関東バスより移籍した富士重工業7EのC2001号(180号車)が前面と公式面が北海道拓殖バスカラー、後面と非公式面が関東バスカラーの2つのデザインを纏った車両となり、非常に話題となっています。
2023年9月30日より土日祝日限定で運行を開始したのを記念し、この度製品化致します。
